Josh Harty's unique blend of American music has become a must-hear for those who keep the tradition of country, blues and folk close to their hearts. Born and raised on the plains of North Dakota, Harty grew up playing shows across the Midwest with his father, a small-town police chief and preacher. The touring bug has never left Josh as he now continuously travels across Europe and North America. Harty is always looking for that balance between the rolling road and the people who inspire him, trading stories around kitchen tables and theatre stages. His live shows prove that good storytelling combined with journeyman musicianship is as American as music gets.

Join harpist Karin Gunderson and vocalist Amanda Pace for a concert on Tuesday, June 25, at 7pm with a reception to follow. “Encounters with Heaven” will interweave elegant harp music and vocal harmonies with true stories of those who have experienced God’s presence in encounters with heaven, miracles, angels, Jesus and more.

Join us in historic Evansville for a fun, family event; The Evansville 4th of July Run/Walk. There is something for everyone…10k Run, 5k Run or Walk and the 1 Mile Run or Walk. Register early to take advantage of pre-registration rates, a guaranteed moisture wicking running shirt and timing chip (must be registered by 6/23/19 to be guaranteed a race shirt). Awards for overall male/female winners, age group male/female winners and all youth participants 10 years and under receive a medal.

Proceeds benefit the Evansville Soccer Club, The Deb Olsen Scholarship Fund, and Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).

Here is a short description of the Guest House that I use on flyers:

Take time for a famous Wisconsin Friday night fish fry in the area or laze with a cup of coffee and homemade triple chocolate scone at the Grove Market.  Stroll down Main Street and take a walking tour of Evansville’s varied architectural homes,  Or relax in the newly restored historic Eager Free Public Library with a good book and learn about the city’s history.  The Night Owl hosts Trivia on Thursday evening, Pete’s throws a great meat raffle on Thursday afternoons, and Creekside Place hosts a Cruise Night the first Thursday of the month, May through September.  Lake Leota Park is within walking distance with fishing, picnic areas, swimming pool, Frisbee golf, playground equipment and ball diamonds.  Evansville Country Club, a public course, offers 18 holes of challenging golf during the season.  Rock and Green counties have wonderful bike trails and backroads for relaxing motorcycle rides.
