Evansville, WI— To better serve its members’ needs and the community, the Evansville Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism is excited to announce it is going virtual beginning August 1st. This move will allow the Chamber the ability to remain flexible and adaptive while focusing on our community and members needs.
While working remotely, the organization was able to streamline and provide even more resources and benefits to its members.
“We had the chance to reflect back on the organization’s priorities and realized we are better able to focus on our mission of promoting the community and businesses by moving to a leaner, more flexible business model.” said Christina Slaback. “We feel that it is our fiscal responsibility to invest our members' hard earned dollars into providing additional value and enhancing the community, rather than towards covering overhead costs.”
The climate of business is changing and organizations are finding new ways to be productive and many businesses have seen the benefits of remote work.
While working remotely these past few months, the Evansville Chamber of Commerce & Tourism has been able to provide greater service with less expense. Throughout the pandemic the Chamber provided timely updates to the community; compiling information and resources on its #EvansvilleTogether page on when businesses are open, restrictions and changes. In the spirit of community it offered limited complimentary memberships to any business in the community. It launched very successful campaigns that encouraged the community to support its local businesses, who are the heart and soul of the community.
The Evansville Chamber of Commerce & Tourism is currently available by phone and email. It will still offer virtual (and hopefully soon) in person educational and networking events and one-on-one meetings at member locations.
