Want to join a book club but don't want to commit to reading an assigned title?  This is the group for you!  Instead of a traditional book club meeting, we will get together and have a more relaxed discussion regarding the books of the month.  This is a great chance to share books you love and to learn about what others are reading.  

This month: Read something from the Young Adult section.  All genres and formats are welcome. 

Students learn how to practice safe habits, how to prevent unsafe situations, and what to do when faced with dangers such as power failures or weather emergencies. Students are also introduced to the Safe Sitter® First Aid Chart and learn a system to help them assess and respond to injuries and illnesses.

Do you have creative culinary skills?  Show us!  The challenge this month is to create a dish without any heat involved.  We will judge on these categories: most healthy, most colorful, most likely to taste the best, best for a budget, and most creative.  

Photos of your creation should be sent to vandan.rebecca@als.lib.wi.us or photos can be dropped off at the library before the October 17 deadline.  Winners will be announced on Tuesday, October 19. 

Winners in each category will have their creations featured on our social media and earn a certificatefrom the library.  We can't wait to see your culinary creations!
