Friends of the Eager Free Public Library are again offering Thanksgiving pies for sale, homemade by Friends volunteer bakers.  Pies available for pre-order include pumpkin, apple and cherry ($15) and pecan ($20).  Order forms are available at the library; payment must be included with your order (cash or check).  Last day to order your pies is Friday, November 22; pies will be ready for pick up on Wednesday, November 27, from 11am-3pm at the library.   We will also have a Baker’s Choice during that time, selling a variety of home-baked goods for your holiday weekend. While there may be some pies at the Baker’s Choice table, if pie is what you are counting on, then pre-ordering is the way to go!

Small Business Saturday reminds us of the prime shopping opportunities right in our own communities. Not only do the small businesses where we work, live, and play offer numerous gift-giving possibilities, they are hands-on and ready to complete your shopping list with quality, thoughtful gifts.

Every year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, the Shop Small movement energizes small business owners to prepare for customers in every way possible. That includes the traditional brick-and-mortar customer and the online shopper. The single-day event continues to grow each year.  That means business owners are ready for you to shop their stores!
