Come join us to celebrate 30 years of the Friends of the library! The Friends incorporated as a non-profit on March 21, 1995 after two years building their group and their mission. We are celebrating with a party and invite you and your family to join us for a morning of fun and activities for all ages.
Children's performer David Landau will bring his musical entertainment at 10am (esp for kids 2-8 years old). Ruth Ann Montgomery, our town hisitorian, will give a presentation on the history of the library at 11am, and will also be available all morning to answer your questions. There will be cupcakes for all, scavenger hunts for little ones and for older kids/ adults, as well as a Legos play station.
We will also have a display about the Friends, past and present, with some fun photos and info from the Friends over the past 30 years. Maybe you'll find yourself in the pics!
The Friends are grateful for the suppport of the Evansville community over these years, allowing us to work with and support our library's programs and resources.
Come and join the party!
