Update to County's Small Business & Nonprofit COVID Grant Program

The County’s Small Business & Nonprofit COVID Grant Program (CGP) has recently been modified; and these modifications have opened-up that funding to a larger pool of applicants.

The CGP now accepts applications from a more diverse array of business types and structures. While some restrictions still exist, these have been narrowed considerably.

In addition, the CGP’s restrictive prohibition concerning applicants that had previously received support from the federal PPP or EIDL programs has been changed. Now, applicants that had received support from either and/or both programs are permitted to apply – pending the total amount of that loan funding did not exceed $20,000.

Lastly, and in consideration on the ongoing pandemic, the CGP can also factor an organization’s 2021 state of business against its 2020 and 2019 operations for the purposes of calculating the grant’s award. Additional CGP eligibility requirements, including its online application, are found at this link.

If for some reason the CGP isn’t a good fit, small businesses and nonprofits can also consider applying to the County’s COVID Small Business Loan Fund (SBLF). While the overall eligibility standards are similar to that of the CGP, the SBLF requires the applicant to provide a higher level of financial information to support its loan request. That said and pending certain criteria are met, an applicant could potentially be eligible for a loan up to $20,000. Additional SBLF information, including its online application, is available at this link.
